
This article lists the basic voice commands which Educards understands.
The list is still growing as Educards is under development.
You may communicate with Educards using a natural language even though Educards is not a chatbot.

Translate
You can say:
You: What’s that? You: What does it mean? You: I don’t get it. You: I don’t understand. You: Translate! You: Could you translate it? etc.
I know
A command used for swiping the flashcard right. By this you indicate that you already knew the content of the flashcard. Educards will remember your feedback and increase your score for a give Educard.
You can say:
You: I knew this one. You: Yes, I know. You: I know. You: I succeeded. You: Success! etc.
I don’t know
A command used for swiping the flashcard left. By this you indicate that you didn’t knew the content of the flashcard. Educards will remember your feedback and decrease your score for a given Educard.
You can say:
You: I didn’t know this one. You: I don’t know. You: I failed. You: Fail! etc.
Conjugate
Conjugates a verb.
You can say:
You: How to conjugate this verb/word? You: How to conjugate? You: Conjugation? You: Conjugate! You: Conjugate in present please! You: Conjugate in the past please! You: How would you conjugate it in the future tense? etc.
Educards could answer:
(Example: Spanish verb “tener” ) Educards: yo tengo, tú tienes, él/ella/Ud. tiene, nosotros tenemos, vosotros tenéis, ellos/ellas/Uds. tienen (Example: French verb “avoir”) Educards: j’ai, tu as, il/elle a, nous avons, vous avez, ils/elles ont
Repeat
Repeats the previous command.
If your previous command was “Translate the word please!” then Educards will repeat the translation.
If your previous command was “What was the sentence?” then Educards will repeat the whole sentence for you. This way you’ll be never off the track. Don’t forget that context matters when you learn new things.
In the very same manner you can repeat almost any other command (example usage, definition, conjugation, and more).
You can say:
You: Say it again please! You: Say it again! You: Could you repeat it?! You: Again! You: I don’t understand. You: Repeat! etc.
Define
Define/describe/explain the word.
You can say:
You: Can you explain? You: What’s the definition?! You: Say it in other words! You: Define! You: Describe in other words! You: Describe in words! You: Explain in other words! You: What’s the definition of this word? You: Give me a definition! etc.
Educards could answer:
(the answer for the word “fracture”) Educards: The cracking or breaking of a hard object or material. (the answer for the word “leverage”) Educards: Use (something) to maximum advantage.
Example
Provides an example of how to use the word in other situations.
If the sentence in your article isn’t sufficient to understand how the word can be used in other contexts, you may ask for some other examples. Educards will serve you the same word or phrase in other contexts/sentences.
You can say:
You: Any examples? You: Give me some examples! You: Could you use it in other sentence? You: How to use this? You: Give me an example! You: Usage?! You: More examples?! You: Another example! You: Example?! etc.
Grammar
Explains the grammatical structure of the word.
You can say:
You: Is it a verb? You: Is it a noun? You: Grammar? You: What’s the grammar? etc.
Educards could answer:
(answer for the french phrase “je cours”) Educards: “je cours” is a verb with basic form “courir” and means “to run”.
Next/Continue
Once you learned the Educard (and explored it), you can move forward to the next one. From your previous learning sessions Educards know what should it teach you next to make the most out of your learning session.
You may say:
You: Continue! You: Next! You: Next Educard please! etc.
Synonyms
You may say:
You: Any similar words? You: Any synonyms? You: Give me some synonyms! You: Is there another word for this? etc.
